Services for Faculty and Staff

The Library provides a variety of print, online, and technology resources for faculty and staff. We also provide expert information literacy instruction and research help.

The Library offers a number of services available to all faculty and staff, as described below.

Library Liaisons and Information Literacy Instruction

Librarians are available to provide custom information literacy and research skills instruction sessions to individual classes throughout the year. Sessions usually run one hour and can be conducted in your classroom.

Audio/Visual Equipment is available to Dominican faculty and staff for check-out from the Library Circulation Desk by submitting an AV Request.

Print from any wireless device in the library! 

Print charges apply. Available to Dominican students, staff, and faculty only.

How to Print

The wireless printing service is available via a website. There is no additional software required. Simply follow the steps below:

  1. Visit the 
  2. Select a printer and BW (black & white) @ $0.10 or Color @ $0.20 option
  3. Enter your email address
  4. Upload a document or enter a URL
  5. Click the "next arrow" icon below to proceed
  6. Select print options**
  7. Click the green printer icon to print
  8. A 6 digit release code appears and will be emailed to you

At the print kiosk in the library:

  1. Select the GoPrint Mobile button
  2. Enter your 6 digit release code
  3. Follow the prompts to pay for and retrieve your print job

** Two-sided printing options: "Long" means that you turn from one page to the next along the long edge of the paper. "Short" means that you turn the page from the short edge of the paper, like a notepad.

Research and Publishing

An online guide to help you answer your questions about copyright issues. 

Dominican Scholar is an online collection of student and faculty scholarship.

Get books and articles that the library does not have in its collection.

The Library offers a set of tutorials for formatting your papers using Word for Windows.

RefWorks is a way to collect, manage and organize research papers and documents. You can read annotate, organize, and cite your research as well as collaborate with friends and colleagues by sharing collections. 

The Alemany Library partners with Marin public libraries to provide access to books, articles, audio and eBooks, and other resources. In order to take advantage of these resources, please set up your MARINet account.

 

The Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵ of California Archives exists to identify, preserve, and make accessible historically significant records in a variety of formats that reflect the unique culture of the University and support administration, teaching, research, and service.

Its scope includes records created or received by the University, its faculty, staff, alumni, students, and administration.
